Globalization: Its Light and Shadow
How should we understand and evaluate the recent globalization trend – the tendency of markets or market mechanisms to become more and more dominant on a global scale? Our project will focus on the light and shadow, from the point of social philosophy and regional studies, cast by globalization in an effort to identify and elucidate some of the unintended side effects of the globalization process. In order to help further our understanding of the globalization problem, we would like to hold an international workshop at Sophia University, inviting social scientists.
